John and Josielyn of Frisco, Texas

John grew up in a small Texas farming/ranching community. He worked on a small family farm and in the Texas oilfields, and currently works in a real estate company.

John met Josielyn in March, 2004. John later proposed marriage, and Joseilyn came to the US on a fiance visa with her two daughters in November, 2006. John and Joseilyn were married shortly thereafter. By December, John had completed all paperwork and paid all fees for Joseilyn and her daughters.

Special attention had been given to Joseilyn's oldest daughter Myra, who under the law, was eligible for expedited processing. But an otherwise happy story turned into a bureaucratic nightmare when the FBI failed to process the security check for Myra.

When Myra turned 21 in January 2007, USCIS told John and Joseilyn that that Myra was now too old to immigrate and would be forced to leave.
